COUNSELLING

Why counselling?

Life can present with many challenges. These might include traumatic experiences and events, depression and anxiety or harmful emotions and behaviours.

Whatever difficulties you are experiencing, one of the best – and I believe bravest things you can do, is talk it out.

This is exactly what Kind Counselling provides. A safe, confidential space with a trained practitioner where you can safely reflect on, and process difficult emotional issues.

What I/counselling can help with:

“To be human is to know sadness, owning our sadness is courageous and a necessary step in finding our way back to ourselves and each other.

Brené BROWN.

Kind Counselling.
My approach.

At Kind Counselling my mission is to normalise talking about how you really feel. I therefore believe it’s important your therapy feels less clinical or like there’s something wrong and more like a wellness ‘check-in.’

As part of this, I work as an ‘Integrative Counsellor.’ This means I use a wide variety of flexible counselling skills to suit your needs.

This includes giving you the option of both long and short-term support.

My approach is in recognition of how life experiences uniquely shape our thoughts, behaviours and feelings. Experiences that, in turn, influence our relationship with ourselves and others and how we react to the world around us.

Most importantly, counselling gives you the space to safely reflect on your true feelings. As a result, counselling can help you:

  • Regulate strong and powerful feelings
  • Understand things from a different perspective
  • Discover new ways to manage situations
  • Develop greater awareness
  • Discover the tools to implement positive change
  • Set healthy boundaries
  • Feel reconnected to yourself and the world around you
  • Regain wellness and balance

As your counsellor it is an honour for me to support and walk alongside you. After all, this is your journey of self-discovery and personal reflection.

Counselling is therefore a useful vessel. A space where we work together to identify the changes you want to make and set realistic and achievable goals.

More than this, it is a journey of healing, self-love and personal growth. One designed to give you hope for the future and confidence in your ability to cope.
